Ghana's renown actor Prince David Osei took to social media to share his perspective on the ongoing Gallamsey menace. In a tweet on X, Prince said even if all pastors were to pray and annoint President Mahama he will no win the 2024 Election.; His comment were made in relation to the Gallamsey (illegal mining) demonstration that saw many Ghanaians from all walks of lives, take to the street of Accra in protest of how the current NPP government was handling the situation. In the tweet, Prince further explained that The NDC was just using propaganda tactics as a smearing campaign to gain votes and that he believes that the Gallamsey menace involves individuals, both NDC and NPP politicians, pastors and the public.; The Gallamsey issue has always always plagued Ghana for sometime now, however for some few months now the issue seems to have become worse affecting most of the water bodies across the country. Streams and river across the various regions have turned brown as a result of this illegal mining, and many believe this is a result of the NPP government giving licenses to small scall miners to operated without proper regulation.; Most celebrities try as much to avoid weighing in on the Gallamsey issue for fear of being tagged as supporting one political party over the other. David Prince Osei however is well known for being a stauch supporter of the NPP. The Ghanaian actor expressed his aspirations to become the President of Ghana back in 2024, ascribing his goal to a divine calling.; His political affiliation however goes many years back, Subsequently the actor has been seen at multiple rallies in support of his party.
